Noboprobhaat Hosts Legal Awareness Session in Rangpur

On 29 March 2025, Noboprobhaat Foundation hosted a Legal Awareness Session in Rangpur — equipping rural gender-diverse youth with the legal knowledge and tools they need to navigate discrimination and access justice.

The session brought together 20 community participants, two professional lawyers (one male and one female), and seven Noboprobhaat Foundation staff members who supported facilitation and logistics. Participants received hands-on guidance on how to file legal complaints, report violence or discrimination, and access services under current Bangladeshi law.

The session highlighted the growing legal challenges faced by gender-diverse communities in rural Bangladesh — especially in the aftermath of the sudden suspension of international funding, which had threatened the continuity of community-based support services. The grant provided by Kaleidoscope Trust allowed Noboprobhaat Foundation to resume critical grassroots advocacy and rebuild engagement in vulnerable communities.
